Updated Stats are out, Alfredo takes the lead!

After a well fought out night, The big winner was Alfredo Costantini With his impressive 9 goal night. Closing behind him sits Bruce with 15 goals overall to Alfredo 16 goals. The point race stands the same with Alfredo leading and with Bruce, Nicky T. and with his best night yet, netting 8 goal and sitting 4 overall in points Danny Trott. Despite controversy in the Carbone camp, his appeal was granted and his 3 game suspension was lifted, although a fine was then assessed (10 ,000$) for his careless word given to the media during an interview after the game. Mr. Rod lalonde in now under investigation after reviewing of the game tapes shows his unsportsmanlike conduct during a battle with Carbone. Both Jeff and Nicky T. are also under investigation for unsportsmanlike, seeing as the league has a zero tolerance for fighting, proper disciplinary action will follow after a full investigation is completed.

Carbone Suspended, Angry

Commissioner Costantini handed down a three game suspension to power-forward Carbone earlier today for his unsportsmanlike conduct during Saturday's session. Carbone's team of lawyers have appealed the decision, though it is likely to stand. In an interview earlier today the NDG star stated that he is considering the option of putting his talent to use in the rival Lasalle Ball-Hockey League. "I would definitely be sad to go. The fans have been great, but the Commish - well, he's had it in for me since day one." After issuing the statement Carbone choked back a few tears and quickly exited the conference room, but not before throwing a box of Timbits at reporters. The Commissioner is scheduled to make a statement tomorrow afternoon.

The first official game day came and went. The series went to a third game but ultimately was won by the brilliant play of Team X’s two stars Bruce and Alfredo each grabbing 12 and 11 points respectively. Nick T. was the shining star for Team Troy grabbing 12 points and netting a stellar game high 10 goals for the team.

Honourable mention goes to Mike Correa for his solid play in the second game in nets for Team Troy.

The Action Begins

The preseason is set to start in less than 24 hours! Remember to bring your registration fee as well as your A game. In other news Bruce might be a scratch in tomorrow night's line-up. A notorious hockey thug (Dan West Island) hit him really hard in a pre-pre-season skate. His presence will be a game-time decision. Captain/coach Alfredo C. will make the call.
